Las Vegas (June 13, 2007) Shift4 Corporation will host a second industry summit meeting on strategies to balance Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, real security and information privacy. The Shift4 Security Summit will be held September 26 and 27, 2007 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. The meeting will bring together major card associations, acquiring banks, processors, and merchant groups. The event is limited to 250 attendees; the registration deadline is August 27.
“With new standards, new technologies and ever-changing public perceptions, merchants are in a battle to achieve ‘Real Security’ and PCI compliance,” said John Mann, Shift4 Vice President of Sales. “We have invited thought leaders from the payments industry to openly discuss and debate the current status and evolution of security, compliance and privacy.”
New Patented Technology
At its first Security Summit in 2005 Shift4 unveiled its breakthrough Tokenization technology that offers a greater level of security by substituting a unique identifier (a token) for a card number, so sensitive personal card data is never in the system. A new security technology will be presented at this year’s meeting. There will be hands-on demonstrations of 4Go SecureSuite? technology, a patent-protected software that removes all useable personal credit card data at the POS terminal, in back-office data storage, and during all data transport. “This new technology represents the final mile in Shift4’s race to create real security for merchants,” said Randy Carr.
