Shift4 and Texo Announce Preferred Partner Agreement

Partnership to Increase the Availability of DOLLARS ON THE NET Payment Gateway Integration With Microsoft POS Systems for SMB Retailers in Canada

LAS VEGAS and MONTREAL, Quebec — Jan. 17, 2017 — (PRNewswire) —

Payment gateway provider Shift4 Corporation today announced that Texo, a Quebec-based Microsoft partner and value-added reseller (VAR), has signed a Preferred Partner Agreement with Shift4. This partnership poises Shift4 to further increase their footprint with retailers using Microsoft POS systems and allows Texo to offer their customers best-in-class payment processing.

The partnership includes:

  • A fully integrated payment solution: Texo’s customers can experience the advanced payment processing and security technologies of Shift4’s DOLLARS ON THE NET payment gateway along with the retail management strength of Retail Realm Essentials™ powered by Microsoft Dynamics (RRE). An additional integration with Retail Management Hero™ (RMH) is in progress and will be offered by Texo early this year.
  • Support for EMV: Shift4 has been certified for EMV in Canada since 2010 with Global Payments and Moneris, helping retailers to prevent the fraudulent use of stolen card data in card-present environments. Shift4’s Canadian EMV solution supports the Ingenico iPP320 with all of the major card brands, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Interac, and JCB. Additional processors and devices may be added in the future.
  • Omnicommerce and unified commerce: Shift4’s DOLLARS ON THE NET can meet omnichannel retailers’ rigorous needs, whether they’re expanding their business across a variety of touchpoints (in-store, online and mobile) with various point-of-sale solutions or looking for a truly unified platform. It also provides insight into payments across an entire enterprise, advanced auditing and reporting capabilities and configurable settings.
  • Direct processing to American Express: Shift4 has a private, direct connection to American Express, helping merchants to reduce communication fees and receive faster transaction funding. Shift4 also allows merchants to split-process authorizations and settlements by payment card type, saving them time and lowering or eliminating third-party fees. Additionally, Shift4 fully supports American Express’ OptBlue® program to simplify the processing requirements of smaller merchants.

Majid Haddad, senior Microsoft Dynamics consultant, Texo, said:
“At Texo, we are committed to offering retailers innovative solutions to manage their business and increase profitability. We are proud to work with Shift4 to further these initiatives and we look forward to creating future opportunities for our clients to improve their payment processing efficiency and security.”

Daniel Montellano, vice president of strategic business development, Shift4, said:
“Shift4 considers our partnerships with value-added resellers to be key in ensuring that merchants are getting the payments technologies they need to stay competitive in today’s marketplace. We’re proud to be working with Texo to provide comprehensive and secure payment solutions to retailers — backed by the power of Microsoft.”
