Shift4’s Partners to Highlight New Technologies in Action at HITEC 2013

LAS VEGAS (Marketwired) Thursday, June 20, 2013 – Shift4 Corporation, the world’s largest independent payment gateway, is pleased to announce their Partner Spotlight series at HITEC, the hospitality industry’s premier technology conference, June 24-27, in Minneapolis. RoomkeyPMS®, AutoClerk®, and It Just Works Software® (IJWS) will be joining Shift4 in their booth (#1007) this year to present their integrations with Shift4’s DOLLARS ON THE NET®.

“We’re excited to highlight the success stories of our partners and how we’ve worked together to truly improve the usability and security of hospitality payments solutions,” said Shift4 VP of Business Development Bob Lowe. “The partners we’ll feature during this event are at the forefront of payment security and I think attendees will be impressed to see the advances they’ve made in reducing the card-data environment, resulting in increased security and simplified PCI compliance.”

RSI RoomkeyPMS is a cloud-based property management system (PMS) that uses Shift4’s TrueTokenization® and i4Go® to drastically reduce a hotel’s PCI scope. Since cardholder data (CHD) is tokenized at the point of entry, the hotel never processes, transmits, or stores any real CHD. Hoteliers can even choose to use an encrypted swipe device and enjoy the added security of point-to-point encryption (P2PE) in front of i4Go.

AutoClerk PMS integrates TrueTokenization, P2PE, i4Go, 4Res, and 4Word® to make myHMS3® the first cloud-based PMS to provide hoteliers with a fully-hosted Web solution that keeps CHD entirely out of their hosting environment and reduces the hotel’s own card-data environment to just the encrypted card reader.

“Usually, a cloud-based PMS has CHD coming in from a central reservation system, and therefore has PCI hot areas in the data center. But with 4Res, the hotel’s data environment never stores, processes, or transmits CHD, and therefore should be out of PCI scope,” Lowe said. “Another benefit of our partnership is that with our patent-pending, CHD-sharing technology 4Word in play, even a hotel without integrated payments can benefit from our tokenization and card-data security solutions.”

IJWS uses Shift4’s mobile P2PE to keep CHD out of a hotel’s card-data environment, taking payment security to the next level. IJWS is leading the industry in mobile payments by allowing hotel clerks to check in their guests curbside using an iPad or Android tablet connected to the PMS – and can even turn the guest’s smart phone or loyalty card into their room key.

“Tradeshows are too often a venue used to just talk about hypothetical technologies. But we’re bringing in our business partners to showcase how our solutions are already operating in the real world, today,” Lowe said.

RoomKeyPMS, AutoClerk, and IJWS will present their solutions and host a Q&A in Shift4’s booth (#1007) during HITEC. Presentations will begin at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., each day. RoomKeyPMS will join Shift4 on Tuesday, June 25, AutoClerk will be there on Wednesday, June 26, and IJWS will be featured on Thursday, June 27.
